Empowerment

Sometimes you can’t trust how your brain interprets a situation, ESPECIALLY the untrained brain!

The quality of your mind is directly proportionate to the quality of your life

You can retrain your default responses to life’s stimuli, but you have to choose it and do the work to get the results; no one can do it for you. And because no one gives it to you, no one can take it away!

You may be thinking; it’s easy for them – it’s different for me.”  Empowerment is a skill that you can learn. I won’t deny that some people are more apt to exercise this muscle than others. Not everyone will, and it isn’t always the easiest choice to make. The good thing about this is you don’t need anyone’s permission to start.

Why? So that you limit the suffering experienced when you are constantly stuck in victim mode when the fog is so great, problems pile up all around you.

This way of being is the opposite of victim mode. The opposite of life happening TO you, rather, life happening FOR you. Empowerment means you are the driver. You have ownership, you take back control; you take back the power.

Make the conscious decision today, and declare it verbally and/or written. Research supports those secondary steps as powerful predictors of success in a given area. I’ll leave you with this notion from Wallace putting empowerment in a nutshell.

“If you have not consciously made the decision to be rich, excellent, and healthy, then you have unconsciously made the decision to be poor, mediocre, and unhealthy.”Wallace Wattles
