Advice for Entrepreneurs_ Journey from corporate America to entrepreneur
It’s going to take a community effort to make poor veterinary wellbeing a thing of the past!
This is why we are ecstatic to see so many programs that are supporting the wellbeing of veterinary professionals!

Here is a list of non-Get MotiVETed sources of tools and strategies to support a culture of veterinary wellbeing for you or your organization!
- AVMA Wellbeing and Peer Assistance – It comes as no surprise, but this is arguably the most robust source of information regarding veterinary wellbeing efforts. From stress management resources to resources on how to create a wellbeing program for your organization, they have a lot of resources! Years ago, the information here was very limited, with the current leadership, AVMA has been taking wellbeing head-on!
- AAHA’s Healthy Workplace Culture Initiative – Coming in a very close second, AAHA is really making a stand for veterinary wellbeing! They provide content and resources, but I especially like their upcoming Aspire online courses, along with their Culture Connection programs. The Aspire program is coming up in the Fall of 2018, and I’m looking forward to checking it out!
There are certainly more than just these two (MightyVet, 1 Life Connected, Zoetis Wellness, and more), and as we explore more of the options out there, we will post them here!
The main thing is for us to make sure that we, as veterinary professionals, know our “treatment” and “preventative” options when it comes to veterinary wellbeing!
If you have a resource that you like to use that is not listed here, please feel free to share it with us!
