My FAVORITE APPS for tranquility, productivity, and more

I AM TRANQUIL – all of my categories are listed as affirmations. Yea, it’s kind of cheesy but powerful. “I AM”. Dr. Wayne Dyer, among many others, talks about the power of these 2 words. I have an iPhone. Most of these, except for one or two, are FREE.

1 Giant Mind – Meditation: Amazing 30-day challenge, wonderful options for times & voices (I listen to Johnny), a journal after you meditate, and last but possibly the most important… After you finish your meditation, you build a library by selecting ordinary happenings during meditation that help you understand the experience better. It normalizes many common things that can happen, such as falling asleep, not stilling thoughts, etc. It helps keep the people who think they are doing it wrong on track- bc you most likely are doing it β€œright”!Β

Waking Up – Mindfulness & Meditation. The Paid version (bc the “moments” are THEE BEST) – like – just THE BEST. Sam Harris is a neurologist-scientist and was a monk for many years- there is noon better to help the scientific community begin and sustain a powerful mindfulness practice.

I AM – this is an actual app. It’s a newsfeed of affirmations. I’ve posted some of these on our social media accounts since finding it. Very spot on. Very useful to put your negative self-talk in its place.

Glow – great for women to chart cycles, symptoms, and intimacy. You can use this for your natural planning regarding fertility.

I AM HEALTHY

Think Dirty – here you can search products, like sunscreen or shampoo, to find out if you are being swindled by fantastic marketing or if it really is a healthier product.

I AM SAFE

Noonlight – Hold your finger on the button as you walk to your car, and enter a pin once you are safe. If you do not enter the pin in the allotted time, emergency services will be alerted- obviously, location services need to be turned on for this app to work properly.

I AM CREATIVE

Canva – if you don’t know about this app, I’m excited that I get to be the one to share it with you. It makes everyone a baby graphic designer. My 10-year-old neighbor loved it. Anyone can use it to design millions of things for their personal everyday life, invitations or cards, and flyers, or it’s like the number one app any entrepreneur /small business owner should have for designing marketing materials.

Guitar Band – an apple product for editing audio

Voice Memos – recording thoughts and whatever

Imovie – editing video

Keynote – Apple’s slideshow for building presentations

I AM PRODUCTIVE

Gsuite: docs, sheets, slides, drive – basically the Microsoft suite, but with Google, you can share with people and work on the same document, etc. Everything is also stored on the cloud, making it accessible across all your devices, and you won’t ever lose your work in the event of a crash or if your laptop takes a bath on a 2-hour flight in chocolate milk R.I.P to my first Macbook Air. I loved that comp. Tragic Lesson learned.

Adobe scan & Acrobat – create .pdfs from a picture to attach to emails

Zoom – obvs.

Monday – project planning, we are still trying to use this to its full potential

Note on productivity if you’ve not discovered the GTD, Getting Things Done method by David Allen. Do yourself and everyone you know a favor and, read the book, go to the website. He actually has two, one called gtd and other gtdconnect- with a free trial. where you can jump on forums, download templates and just immerse yourself in all the things you need to have a bombshell system to free up mental bandwidth and actually “GET THINGS DONE!!”

I AM SERVED

Walmart- paid subscription, used to and occasionally, if I’m traveling, will use Instacart.

Target & Kohls – Gavin has a few items that come from these stores. If you have a toddler, the Nike short socks come from- kohls, and the long socks from Target Cat & Jack. He also wears the girls’ Jeggings (black & grey) bc the waist is smaller, they have fake pockets- no one ever knows, and he just looks so damn good. I didn’t even know they were in the girl’s section until the second time I went looking for them lol.

Doordash (for traveling only) it helps me find good food in unknown places. Jack Stack BBQ, Kansas City, is _________insert your favorite mind-blowing word there.

I AM SOCIAL

Classics minus Twitter- no need to list. We are on all of them except twitter, we do our best to have a presence but we admittedly are not super consistent.

Nextdoor – neighborhood app – great for lost animals and communicating with surrounding neighbors, local things going on, etc…

The Secret Super App β€”>Positive feed πŸ™‚ If you need a boost, and you aren’t on Get MotiVETed University where you can access our private communities, one being uplifting inspiration and motivation. The Super app is the way to go. Again- getting control of negative crap that fills up your mind and messes with your vibes.

I AM GROWING/EDUCATED

Audible – audiobooks

Pandora – music

Apple Podcasts – obvious πŸ™‚ oooh, maybe I’ll tell you who I subscribe to in another blog! πŸ™‚

I AM ENTERTAINED

This is where my tv subscription apps are

I AM RICH

Well, not technically speaking, but … keeping my mind right.

This is where my banking apps are

Webull -is an investing app where you can β€œpractice” and learn before using real money. The practice version still reacts like the actual stock market, so you can see if you would lose or gain money and adapt your strategy.

Happy App usage- Use ’em wisely and remember you are using the apps, not them using you. Have some awareness around screen time and attention to yourself or other people trying to talk to you. πŸ˜‰
