Bio:

Hello everyone! My name is Nia and I’m from Chicago. I am a first year vet student at NC State University. Before starting at NC, I attended University of Missouri and graduated with a Bachelor’s of science in Psychology and Spanish.

My veterinary interests currently include small animals, equine, and zoological medicine. However, I’m trying to keep an open mind through my veterinary journey. When I’m not studying, I enjoy watching Netflix with my pomeranian mix (Zoe) and spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy traveling. My favorite trip was Sydney, Australia.

I decided to join the Get MotiVETed team because I understand the importance of prioritizing wellbeing to prevent burnout in our profession.
